The App That Tells You When to Stop Chasing Elite Airline Status

Most frequent flyers overspend chasing a tier they cannot reach or underspend and miss one they were three months away from. TierPath tells you which one you are. And exactly what to do about it.

Start free, no card required

The only status coach that knows where you fly from.

A traveler at Atlanta Hartsfield has 700 Delta flights a day. A traveler at Philadelphia International has a fraction of that. The same flight-focused plan that works for one is a bad plan for the other.

TierPath knows your home airport. It builds your plan around what is actually available to you, not a generic national average. If your airport limits your options, we tell you that before you spend a dollar chasing a path that does not work from where you live.

Delta SkyMiles, the wasted spend

Marcus, Philadelphia

Marcus flies Delta six times a year out of Philadelphia. He holds the Delta SkyMiles Reserve Amex and puts most of his business expenses on it. He has done this for three years. He has never made Medallion status.

Every October he checks his Delta app, sees he is short, and spends the last two months of the year putting everything he can on the card. Groceries. Utilities. His kids' tuition payment. One year he bought a laptop he did not need because he was $800 short of Silver. He missed Silver anyway.

What Marcus did not know: his $2,500 Reserve headstart had never been applied correctly because he had been checking the wrong box in the Delta app. He was calculating from the wrong starting point every single year. Three years of October panic spending. Thousands of dollars in forced purchases. All of it chasing a number that was wrong from the start.

TierPath ran his numbers in 90 seconds.

It showed him his real effective MQD balance, flagged the headstart discrepancy, told him Silver was reachable from where he actually stood, and gave him a month-by-month spend plan through December. It also told him that if he missed his November target by more than $400, to stop. Gold was gone and continuing to spend would not get him there.

He hit Silver in November. He did not buy anything he did not need.

And because he flies out of Philadelphia, not Atlanta, not Detroit, TierPath told him to focus on card spend, not flights. Delta's Philadelphia service is limited. A flight-focused plan from PHL would have sent him chasing segments that were hard to book and expensive to fly. The airport-aware coaching pointed him at the path that actually worked from where he lives.

Right now, somewhere in your Delta app, there is a number you think you understand. There is a good chance you are wrong about what it means. Every month you wait is a month of spend that may be going nowhere.

Most users who follow the pivot recommendation stop chasing a tier they cannot reach. The average October panic spend we have seen users describe is $1,200 to $3,000 in purchases they would not have made otherwise.

TierPath Pro costs $39.99 for the year.

It pays for itself the first time it tells you to stop.
